At the event, Dr. He systematically presented Zhaolong’s breakthroughs in current-carrying capacity verification. To address the industry-wide gap in electromagnetic-thermodynamic coupled validation solutions for traditional connector designs, Zhaolong’s team pioneered a collaborative simulation platform integrating CST EM Studio, Multi-physics Studio, and Design Studio. This platform enables end-to-end digital validation of electromagnetic field distribution to thermodynamic effects.

The solution leverages electromagnetic-thermodynamic co-simulation algorithms to accurately predict temperature rise characteristics of connectors under DC current loads. This allows Zhaolong’s R&D team to evaluate current-carrying capacity compliance during the conceptual design phase. Additionally, thermodynamic peak position data from simulations provides critical support for current-temperature derating curve testing at Zhaolong’s testing center.

Currently, Zhaolong’s R&D team utilizes CST Studio Suite electromagnetic simulation software as an auxiliary development tool for connectors and cables. During the conceptual design phase, the software validates signal integrity of design concepts and predicts transmission characteristics of connected systems through co-simulation.
