Abstract: LONGREACH Long-Distance Connection Solutions As enterprise networks shift to "edge-driven" models, remote power demands for devices (switches, routers, surveillance systems) beyond 100 meters are rising. IEEE 802.3’s 100-meter PoE limit drives the need for extended solutions. LONGREACH’s high-performance copper cables overcome this, supporting 90W PoE up to 250 meters (21AWG, 20℃). Key benefits: simplified deployment, efficient power delivery, network security, and green efficiency. It addresses challenges like signal attenuation, voltage drop, and costly traditional setups (extra cabinets/fiber). This solution bridges edge device deployment with reliable power/signal transmission, cutting infrastructure costs and enabling future tech (5G, IoT).

For smaller-scale data centers, deploying high-speed copper interconnects—such as Direct Attach Copper (DAC), Active Copper Cables (ACC), and Active Electrical Cables (AEC)—ensures low-latency, high-throughput intra-data center connectivity, as validated by industry benchmarks. This article explores this paradigm shift and its practical implementation.
