In August 020, CTTL（China Telecommunication Technology Labs）of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology completed the performance evaluation of the integrated communication and power supply connection scheme submitted by Zhejiang Zhaolong Interconnection Technology Co., Ltd. and CommScope Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., and issued The Performance Evaluation Certificate of the Integrated Connection Solution for Communication and Power Supply for the first time. This evaluation is oriented to the integrated communication and power supply connection scheme which is widely used for wireless signal’s indoor coverage and the access of smart devices for Internet of Things(IoT) . This evaluation adopts the test system designed and built by the laboratory and verifies that the tested connection scheme can stably carry data while transmitting a certain amount of power and energy. After evaluation, the CAT 6A cables with channels provided by the two companies both can transmit 90W power while stably supporting two-way10G (10Gbit/s) Ethernet data communication, meeting the connection requirements for a variety of devices of wireless access point (AP) and most common smart devices for Internet of Things(IoT) .
With the rapid development of information technology and the accelerated construction of "new infrastructure", network infrastructure such as 4G/5G and "fiber broadband + WiFi6" as well as converged infrastructure represented by smart cities, smart energy, and smart transportation will all be usher in rapid development. The integrated communication and power supply connection solution can simultaneously solve continuous and stable power supply problems and high-speed data communication problems of equipment. It has been widely used in scenarios such as wireless signal coverage and the deployment of intelligent equipment, having a broad space for development. IEEE, IEC, ITU-T, CCSA and other International and domestic standards organizations have all carried out standard research on conductor-based or photoelectric-hybrid-integrated connection schemes of communication and power supply.
CTTL has formed a complete evaluation capability of communication interconnection integration schemes, including evaluation of temperature rise under cable current, evaluation of transmission performance under cable current and evaluation on equipment power supply capability, etc..
