Project Completion: A Core Innovation Pillar in the Yangtze River Delta Officially Established

On October 18, 2025, the FAW Jiefang (Wuxi) R&D Capability Upgrade Project was completed. A new R&D building — with a total investment of RMB 423 million and a floor area of 45,000 m² — was officially put into operation, forming a crucial link in FAW Jiefang’s global R&D layout across four countries and nine locations.
The 12‑story above‑ground, 2‑story underground structure stands 71.18 m tall. It focuses on powertrain technology innovation, establishing test capabilities that meet China National VII emission standards, and covers development of both conventional and new energy integrated powertrains. It also undertakes the strategic task of boosting the core competitiveness of whole vehicles, bringing together R&D teams and talent, expanding businesses such as big data and intelligent connected vehicle technologies, and striving to become an industry‑leading powertrain R&D hub.

Network Requirements: High‑Reliability, High‑Performance Connectivity for Complex R&D Scenarios

As the digital backbone supporting core facilities such as China National VII‑standard test benches and world‑class non‑road engine environmental chambers, the R&D building’s network must simultaneously meet high bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability requirements across multifunctional areas — office, laboratory, prototyping, and collaboration zones.
It must ensure smooth operation of current applications such as HD video conferencing and massive R&D data exchange, while also reserving seamless upgrade capacity for future intelligent applications such as AI training and simulation computing.
Furthermore, the system must establish a campus‑level backbone network to interconnect core equipment across buildings, enabling efficient, stable, and seamless cross‑site information exchange. To address these multifaceted requirements, Zhaolong Interconnect Co., Ltd. (hereafter Zhaolong) provided a customized, comprehensive data network and structured cabling system solution for the Wuxi R&D Center, ensuring security and scalability of connectivity in a complex R&D environment.
